Don’t Give Up Today.
Just like anything in life, if you stop working on something, it starts to break down. If you stop exercising, you become weaker. If you don’t take your car in for maintenance, it breaks down. No matter what it is, if you don’t put effort into something, it doesn’t just stay the same. It begins to decay.
If you want to get better at an instrument, a sport, or yes, managing your money, you need to put in the time and effort. But if you stop working on that area of your life, the time and effort you invested slowly but surely wastes away. In other words, whenever you say no to taking a step toward your goals, you say yes to taking one step back.
So don’t give up! Be relentless with your financial life, your character, your guitar, or your crocheting! Whatever it is, you need to persevere. You need to continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty.
When it comes to your financial life, the last thing you want is to look back 10 years from now and see that nothing has changed at all. Or worse, that you were better off a decade ago. But you would love to climb that mountain and be in awe of how far you’ve come. You’d love to remember all the amazing experiences you got to enjoy. You’d love seeing all the ways God used you because you made your resources available to Him.
No matter who you are, the days turn into weeks. The weeks turn into months. And the months turn into years. So get pumped and persevere! Your dreams deserve a chance.
